The state-of-the-art mobile surgery suite offers a wide variety of surgical procedures. This includes spays, neuters, declaws and some soft tissue surgeries without your pet having to go beyond your driveway.

Microchip Identification – Microchip Identification is a permanent identification implant that is used to tag your beloved pet, in case the unthinkable happens. This is highly recommended and is the best way to bring you and your pet together again, if the two of you are somehow separated. This is usually implemented at the time of spaying or neutering.

Anesthesia – The safest available anesthetics are utilized to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for older or high-risk patients. Your pet’s vital signs are monitored while under all anesthetic procedures.

Radiology – The Purr and Bark mobile facility is equipped with modern state of the art x-ray equipment. It provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of your pet’s disorders.

Dentistry – Most general dental procedures that your pet will require can be performed in the Purr and Bark Mobile Clinic. This includes teeth cleaning, polishing, and tooth extractions. These will require anesthesia.

Pharmacy – Most medicine for your pet’s needs are onboard, and compounding is available by request. For any medications that we do not have on-hand or do not carry, we utilize the online Pharmacy, Vets First Choice. Vets First Choice will provide those medicines and deliver them to your home. There is free shipping for orders over $49. You may also purchase your Pets prescription diets from Vets First Choice, which can be delivered to you for a small delivery fee. Online Retail Store – Our Online Retail Store is similar to the online Pharmacy for medications. You can shop for pet supplies, grooming supplies and a variety of toys and other items for your Pet online. Browse the online Retail Store purchase any pet supplies that you need, and they will be delivered right to your front door.

All services are provided at your convenience, and at your home or office. This is in addition to the normal, expected services such as Physical Exams, Vaccines, Flea Preventions, and Heartworm testing that you find with other traditional or mobile practices.

Pet Emergencies in Raleigh, NC

We attempt to be available and accommodate emergencies for the patients of The Purr and Bark VMD. However, there are times that dr. regina will suggest that your Pet be admitted to The Purr and Bark Hospital for treatment or observation. In certain situations your Pet may be referred to a 24-Hour Emergency Hospital. Dr. Regina will still monitor all referred cases, and will be available to answer any questions.

Hospitalizations

The Purr and Bark Mobile Clinic is not available to provide patients overnight hospitalization. If overnight hospitalization is required, these cases are transferred to The Purr and Bark Veterinary Hospital. If cases require 24 hour monitoring, we refer these cases to Quail Corners Animal Hospital in Raleigh, or we will assist you in finding a hospital that you are comfortable with.

Compassionate Euthanasia

When it’s finally time to say goodbye, the best service we can provide for our faithful companions is an in home euthanasia. This situation allows both you and your pet the privacy when the time has come. An initial injection for sedation will calm your pet and allow you time to say goodbye. A second injection is then administered and your Pet will pass peacefully on. You can have all the time you need before your pet will be transported to Faithful Friends, if you choose cremation.

If you choose private cremations, your pet’s ashes will be returned to you in a nice encased container, placed in a soft pouch. If you choose communal cremations, the ashes will not be returned to you. If you would rather personally take care of your companion yourself, you may bury your pet on your own property if legal.
